About me
Jim is the VP of Quality Standards at L3AV. He has commissioned thousands of AV systems around the world. He maintains CTS-D, CTS-I, CQD, and CQT certifications. He earned his BSME from MIT, and his MSME from Standford University. He was a founder and the President of Audio Visual Resources, Inc in NY from 2000-2019, which was acquire by L3AV where he now oversees the Quality Department.
Jim sits on the Board of AQAV. He is a Senior Faculty Instructor for Avixa. He was awarded Avixa’s Young AV Professional Award in 2009 as well as the prestigious Educator of the Year in 2017. Jim was also awarded the AQAV Educator of the Year in 2024. He is passionate about discussing quality in the AV industry.
Outside AV, Jim is an avid scouter and amateur radio operator (N2NIW).
